Plans for a new boutique hotel have been unveiled in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.
The hotel together with new apartments, a retail courtyard as well as new workshop spaces intended for jewellery design and manufacture comprise the ‘Hockley Mills’ project.
The brown-field site is currently occupied by a single tyre storage facility.
Other features of the Hockley Mills project include a new ticket office for the Jewellery Quarter station and the potential for the reuse of the Victorian subway as a gym or for other commercial uses.
The scheme has recently been submitted to Birmingham City Council’s planning department for approval.
