Plans are set to go on display for the new façade at the Abode Exeter Hotel, better known as the Royal Clarence Hotel, which was destroyed by fire last year.
The new façade will be as true as possible to the original.
The Royal Clarence is a Grade II-listed building dating largely from the 18thcentury. It is thought to be the oldest hotel in the UK.
The hotel suffered serious damage in a fire last October. Deconstruction works on the remaining structures have taken place over the past few months.
A public consultation for external plans which will preserve the surviving historical and architectural features of the building will take place from 26 July 2017.
