A 100-bedroom hotel plus 400 luxury lodges are two components in a multi-million pound scheme to create a new adventure resort in Wales.
Afan Valley Adventure Resort will be located on a 480-acre site in Cymmer, Port Talbot in south Wales.
The hotel and spa, plus bars and restaurants will surround a central plaza at the resort which will also feature a wide range of activities. These include water sports, mountain biking, survival training, trampolining, surfing and zorbing, ski slopes, an aqua adventure park, ice skating, gyms, steam rooms and saunas, zip wires and indoor climbing walls.
There will also be a Bear Grylls Survival Academy.
Afan Valley Adventure Resort is being masterminded by Northern Powerhouse Developments who already operate a range of similar centres including three outdoor ski slopes, an ‘Xtreme sport’ centre and an aqua park.
