Ten Hill Place, the hotel owned by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, is set to undergo a major expansion.
An £8.5million project will see an additional 52 bedrooms added to the existing 77 bedrooms at the four-star hotel.
The capacity of the restaurant and wine bar at Ten Hill Placewill also be increased. A gym will be a new addition.
The additional bedrooms will be created from existing office space already owned by the Royal College of Surgeons around Hill Square, an area which is becoming known as Edinburgh’s ‘Surgeons’ Quarter’.
Construction work is scheduled to be complete by summer 2018. Ten Hill Place will remain open during the expansion.
