Plans have been published to convert a city centre Methodist Mission church in Leeds into a 70-bedroom hotel.
The church, Oxford Place Methodist Church, is a Grade II-listed building located in the 'Civic Quarter' of Leeds city centre between the Law Courts and Leeds Town Hall.
Plans include creating a restaurant on the lower ground floor level which will open up onto a new terraced area at the southern end of the building.
The hotel would also have four meeting rooms with conference facilities for around 100 delegates.
The Methodist Church is aiming to maintain a chapel space within the proposed hotel and thus to continue the practice of Christian worship on a site that has seen a Methodist presence since 1835.
