Gleneagles Hotel owner Ennismore is to open a Gleneagles Club in the centre of Edinburgh.
The club will be based in the Grade A, former Bank of Scotland office in St Andrew Square which is now vacant. The building was originally built for the British Linen Bank in 1846. It is located within the New Town Conservation Area and is part of the Edinburgh World Heritage Site.
The Gleneagles Club will feature bars, lounges, restaurants, some bedrooms plus events space.
The building is next door to a former RBS branch currently being converted into the Edinburgh Grand Hotel.
Ennismore acquired the 232-bedroom Gleneagles hotel and golf resort in 2015. The company is also the owner of Hoxton Hotels which has two hotels in London, in Shoreditch and Holborn.
