A new hotel alongside the Irish World Heritage Centre in Cheetham Hill, north Manchester has been on the cards since 2013 when plans were first published.
Architects were engaged at the time to design and develop a new hotel to accommodate visitors to the centre.
A planning application was submitted in February of this year and approved in May for a new 135-bedroom hotel.
Construction is now expected to start in the early New Year on the hotel which will also feature business and events space.
The hotel at the Irish World Heritage Centre will be located on Irish Town Way in Manchester and will also include 110 parking spaces.
