Windermere Manor Hotel in the Lake District National Park has been acquired by Starboard Hotels.
Windermere Manor Hotel with 35 bedrooms was formerly owned by the charities: Guide Dogs and the Royal National Institute for the Blind.
The hotel specialises in providing accommodation for people with sight loss.
New owners intend to restore the hotel whilst maintaining the facilities that already exist for people with sight loss and their families.
Windermere Manor Hotel is situated within three acres of landscaped grounds with views across Lake Windermere to the Langdale Pikes and mountains beyond.
Windermere Manor Hotel has a restaurant and bar. Leisure facilities include an indoor swimming pool and a sauna.
Windermere Manor Hotel is half a mile from Windermere station and nine miles from Oxenholme Station on the West Coast Mainline.
