Building contractors begin a two-year construction programme in mid-January on the next phase of the £750million Circle Square development in Manchester.
This phase includes an 18-storey building with a 1,100-space car park from ground to the 11thfloor plus a 150-bedroom hotel between the 12thand 17thfloors.
There is also commercial, retail and restaurant space planned at ground floor and mezzanine level.
Completion is scheduled for January 2020.
Circle Square is a £750million redevelopment of the former BBC site on Oxford Road, in the centre of Manchester. The old BBC buildings were demolished once the corporation had moved its operations across to Salford Quays
