PIG Hotel group has announced plans to add three new hotels to its litter – in Kent, West Sussex and Cornwall.
The first to open will be the ‘PIG at Bridge Place’ at what was formerly Bridge Place Country Club (pictured left).
The building is a 16thcentury manor house located just outside the village of Bridge in the Nailbourne valley and three miles south of Canterbury.
The main building includes a wealth of period features, including large fireplaces, secret stairways, panelled rooms and lots of nooks and crannies. These will be retained and enhanced creating seven bedrooms as well as bars and lounge areas.
The Coach House alongside the main building will accommodate a further 12 bedrooms.
The restored Gate Lodge will include two bedrooms and seven ‘hop pickers’ huts will be created from reclaimed materials on an island within the grounds.
The PIG at Bridge Place will have a total of 28 bedrooms.
Coach House will also feature a conservatory restaurant with an open kitchen and views onto the kitchen gardens.
Renovation work will start shortly with The PIG at Bridge Place scheduled to open in autumn 2018.
The second new PIG Hotel is planned in West Sussex. The group acquired the Grade II-listed Madehurst Lodge, near Arundel, last year. They are planning a conversion with the property opening as The South Downs PIG in 2019.
Finally, the Grade II-listed Harlyn House near Padstow in Cornwall is set to become The PIG at Harlyn Bay. It is scheduled to be open by summer 2019.
