Manchester United’s ‘Class of ’92’ players have secured planning approval to create the University Academy ’92 in Manchester.
The ‘Class of 92’ refers to former Manchester United teammates Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and Phil Neville.
University Academy ’92 is a new university planned in Manchester. It would be created in and around the existing Kellogg’s building in Talbot Road in Manchester. The development would also create a new hotel plus a leisure centre and apartments.
If all goes to plan the new university, which will be linked with Lancaster University, will offer qualifications to students in business, media and sport.
University Academy ’92 is hoping open its doors in September 2019.
