To mark the hotel’s first anniversary, Lympstone Manor will be planting a vineyard on its estate in East Devon.
The project will be overseen bythe owner and chef, Michael Caines. It has been his ambition since first viewing the hotel.
18,000 vines are to be planted which will produce champagne-style sparkling wines. The mild micro-climate on the banks of the River Exe in Devon is similar to that found in the wine-producing regions of France and is particularly well suited to growing grapes.
The first batch of Lympstone Manor Cuvée is expected in October 2023.
