The 18th-century palatial Georgian manor house and farm, set in 400 acres of Hampshire countryside, was supposed to open as a luxury hotel and country retreat in time for the London Olympics back in January 2012 - but it got delayed.
Heckfield Place was a private house until the 1980’s when it was converted into a conference and training centre.
The estate has now been undergoing major refurbishment since 2009. It will finally open with 47 bedrooms spread around the various wings and courtyards of the house.
Heckfield Place will also feature an underground, 67 velvet-seated cinema.
