The Proud Archivist is a combined gallery, bar, restaurant, cafe and events space situated on Regent's Canal in north London. It has been open for just over a year. The Proud Archivist seeks to revive the traditions of London’s 17th and 18th century coffee houses.
The Proud Archivist has 5000 sq-ft of meeting space, available to hire or use for private or public events seven days a week. Space includes the events areas, the restaurant, terrace and mezzanine.
Northern Lights is the meeting room and will seat up to 80 people and can be used for theatrical performances, acoustic concerts, film screenings, talks, book signings, workshops, masterclasses etc. The room will also split into two equal sized sections. The Library, situated on the mezzanine floor will accommodate up to 30 people for a small gathering. The terrace overlooking the canal is also available for small groups.
The Proud Archivist is located in Hertford Road and is a five minute walk from Haggerston overground station.
