Starwood Hotels & Resorts have just launched their second Aloft hotel in the UK. Aloft Liverpool has opened with 116 bedrooms in the city's former Royal Insurance Building. The transformation of the 110 years old building represents four years work and an £18million bill.

Aloft Liverpool includes 116 loft-like guest rooms with platform beds and walk-in showers. Re:charge(SM) is the fitness centre. W XYZ bar, Re:mix lounge and Re:fuel cater for the guests' relaxation, eating and drinking. Aloft Liverpool has five meeting rooms equipped with the latest technology including 50" flat screen televisions with laptop hook up and DVD players. Fast and free wi-fi is available throughout the hotel.
Aloft Liverpool is located in North John Street in the heart of Liverpool's commercial district between Liverpool Lime Street Station and the Albert Dock and within easy walking distance of both.
