Mama Shelter, the French brand of designer-budget hotels and now part owned by Accor, is set to open in London. Mama Shelter was created six years ago. With the help of Accor’s development and distribution network it plans to build the portfolio to around twenty properties over the next five years.
Mama Shelter hotels feature interiors from Philippe Stark, including exposed concrete walls and blackboard ceilings with graffiti plus a vibrant restaurant and bar. The reception areas focus on bright colours and bold decorations as well as high-end technology.
Mama Shelter hotels are currently located in Paris, Marseille, Lyon, Bordeaux and Istanbul, with a sixth property opening in Los Angeles in February 2015.
