This week it was announced that KSL Capital Partners have acquired Village Urban Resorts from De Vere Hotels in a hotly contested auction. This follows their recent acquisition of Cannizaro House hotel in south west London.
Village Urban Resorts currently have 25 hotels throughout the UK with a further three under development in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow.  

KSL Capital Partners, a US-based private equity company, already own the Malmaison and Hotel du Vin group of hotels as well as independent properties including the Belfry Golf Resort in Warwickshire. KSL have signalled their intention to convert Cannizaro House into a Hotel du Vin next year, following a refurbishment.

As of the 31st October De Vere Hotels ceased to manage Carden Park hotel in Cheshire. Carden Park Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa is now a 196-bedroom independently owned hotel and is located near Chester.
