Plans are afoot which could see a former city tram depot in Cardiff transformed into a new arts centre and business hub.
The old Clare Road tram depot is a Grade II-listed building in Grangetown, built in the late 1800s. Subject to planning approval its regeneration would provide meeting and conference facilities plus individual work units as well as a dance studio, an art gallery, cafes, bars and restaurants. It would act as a hub for local people and the creative industries, as well as a business centre.
The depot is located at the junction of Clare Road and Pendyris Street, approximately half a mile west of Cardiff city centre. Cardiff Central station is within walking distance.
