Plans for the development of Gateway House, the 'lazy S' building on the station approach to Manchester Piccadilly Station, into a 182-suite aparthotel look set for approval by Manchester City Council. The latest scheme consists of an aparthotel with retail space on the ground and office space on a mezzanine floor.
The apartotel will have one and two-bedroom suites and be operated by StayCity.
The ground floor of Gateway House is currently used as a retail space although there is a possibility that the building could be demolished to make way for the expansion of Piccadilly Station to accommodate HS2, if and when it comes to Manchester.
