As construction of the first Motel One hotel to open in Manchester approaches the ‘fit-out’ stage comes news that construction work on a second Motel One in Manchester will begin in March 2015.
Motel One number one will have 330 bedrooms. It is located at the junction of London Road and Whitworth Street opposite Piccadilly station in the city centre.
Motel One number two will have 300 bedrooms and will be located in Cross Street in the heart of central Manchester. The building is currently a vacant office block with an historic stone façade. In addition to the bedrooms, the hotel will also include a ground floor restaurant, a retail unit and parking for 25 cars.
Completion of the £25million Motel One Cross Street project is not expected before 2017.
