The two hotels which are being built as part of The University of Manchester‘s £1billion redevelopment of Manchester Business School will both be IHG-branded hotels. A 210-bedroom Crowne Plaza Manchester – Oxford Road and a 116-bedroom Staybridge Suites Manchester will adjoin the new two-storey Executive Education Centre in the city’s University Quarter. Both properties are expected to open late 2016.
It will be Manchester’s third Crowne Plaza hotel and its first Staybridge Suites hotel and it will take IHG’s portfolio of hotels to 21 in Manchester.
Professor Fiona Devine, head of Manchester Business School, said: "Our aim is to provide high end accommodation that will have wider benefits for visitors to The University of Manchester, the city and region. The Staybridge Suites hotel in particular offers a range of benefits to our Executive Education and Global MBA delegates who are often in Manchester for extended periods."
