A new 31-bedroom hotel is planned in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter. Suburban Inns plan to convert the two floors above The Rope Walk pub in St Paul's Square into a hotel. The space is currently used as offices. The car park at the rear of the building will remain as part of the development.
The planning application is the latest in a line of proposed redevelopment projects for the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter. The nearby Bloc Hotel is planning to extend adding a 30-bedroom aparthotel. Staycity, another aparthotel specialist, is planning to open a 170-bedroom hotel in Newhall Square later this year.
