Construction work starts this month on the new 146-bedroom Adagio Aparthotel Edinburgh. The six storey hotel will be built behind an existing façade facing onto the Royal Mile and will form an integral part of Edinburgh’s New Waverley regeneration scheme.

At the rear, the hotel will link with a proposed new public square and pedestrian walkway which will be central to the wider £150million redevelopment.

The construction of Adagio Aparthotel Edinburgh is scheduled for completion in October 2016.

Adagio Aparthotels launched in the UK in Liverpool in April 2013. The hotels are aimed primarily at long-stay visitors and feature fully-furnished studios as well as one and two-bedroom apartments, complete with kitchens and bathrooms for self-catering accommodation.

Adagio Edinburgh will be the group’s second property in the UK.
