Robinsons Brewery has just reopened The Airport pub and grill near Manchester Airport following a 16 week-long closure for refurbishment. The pub is located on Ringway Road just 50 feet away from Manchester Airport’s Terminal 3 runway. The Brewery claim it is the closest you can get to a plane without boarding it in the UK.
As befits its name, The Airport has an aeronautical theme with spitfire armchairs and jet engine booth seating. Vintage propeller fittings as well as quirky retro 3-D art installations from flying ducks dressed in mini pilot outfits to blueprints of vintage aeroplanes also feature.
Looking to the future however, The Airport pub and grill will benefit from the ongoing £800million construction of Manchester’s Airport City due to conclude in 2032. It will also benefit from the local transport links and its position as a gateway to the largest international airport outside London. Accordingly, they are aiming to attract professionals seeking an unusual venue for a business meeting.
The Airport pub and grill is located in Ringway Road. As well as the rail link from the airport there is now a new Metrolink station close by at Shadowmoss with a regular tram service into central Manchester. On-site parking is available but it is a Pay and Display facility.
