Leicester Tigers are investing £8million in the redevelopment of the west side of their Welford Road stadium. The new West Stand will replace the current Clubhouse building which dates back to 1909.
The West Stand will be a three-storey building. It will include 3100 seats, club offices, a main ticket office, a lounge, a stadium big screen as well as a concourse area that will house food kiosks and public bars. The new West Stand will bring the stadium's capacity to just over 26,000.
Construction will begin in May 2015 and will be completed by January 2016.
The Welford Road stadium is one of the largest conference venues in the East Midlands with 40 separate meeting suites and the capacity for 1000 delegates. It is easily accessible from all parts of the UK and offers complementary car parking for up to 200 cars.
