The Trade Union, Unite, has published plans to construct a major mixed-use development in the grounds of Birmingham Science Park Aston.

If approved the site will become Unite's national education, training and conference centre and will also include a 170-bedroom hotel.  The scheme includes around 32,000 sq. ft. of conference space over two floors and will have the capacity to host up to 1000 delegates. The five-storey hotel will include a restaurant and bar.

The development lies within Birmingham’s Eastside regeneration area near the Learning Quarter, which comprises Aston University and the Sir Doug Ellis Sports Centre.

Plans have been submitted to Birmingham City Council.
