The Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh is about to open its Prince Philip Building, their fourth venue for conferences, meetings and events.
The Royal College has taken the former Edinburgh University language school building, invested £1.5million in a total revamp and transformed it into three floors of event space to accommodate everything from conferences and exhibitions to small scale boardroom meetings. The Prince Philip Building includes a theatre-style auditorium for up to 160 delegates.
The Prince Philip Building will be accessed via the Royal College of Surgeon’s pillared entrance opposite the Festival Theatre, through their private gardens and into a lobby area with its own cloakroom.
The Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and Festival Theatre Edinburgh are now working together to offer their joint facilities which are capable of accommodating up to 1900 delegates for a conference in the heart of Edinburgh. The Festival Theatre is located opposite the College. It boasts the largest stage in Scotland which can be transformed into banqueting space for up to 400 guests. The auditorium seats 1900 delegates and is equipped with cinema quality projection.
Residential accommodation is available at the College's on-site 78-bedroom Ten Hill Place Hotel.
