Travelodge has opened its new Southampton West Quay hotel, located yards away from Southampton Port. The new hotel will spearhead an £84 million plan by Travelodge to build up to 14 new hotels in key port locations across the UK - in a bid to capitalise on the current ‘cruise boom’. Figures from the Department for Transport indicate that number of UK International Sea Passengers rose to 22.4million in 2013.
Southampton West Quay Travelodge is a 94-bedroom property. Its opening has boosted Travelodge’s presence in Southampton to four hotels.
