The opening date for the new Gainsborough Bath Spa hotel has been confirmed for 1st July 2015.

Gainsborough Bath Spa is housed in a collection of three Grade-listed buildings in the heart of the city. Part of the building was a former hospital where the thermal waters were used for their healing properties. Gainsborough Bath Spa is claiming to have the only natural thermal spa within a hotel in the United Kingdom.

Gainsborough Bath Spa will feature 99 contemporary bedrooms furnished to a five star standard with luxurious bedding and generous wardrobe space. Each room and suite will also feature an iPod docking station, a flat screen HD television, a Roberts radio with Bluetooth connectivity, complimentary wi-fi and radiant heated bathroom floors.

The 1,300 square metre spa will include natural thermal water pools, an ice chamber, a sauna and steam room, a movement studio, a fitness centre and 11 treatment rooms.

Johann Lafer, German-based Michelin starred chef, will be running the hotel's ‘Johann Lafer at the Gainsborough’ restaurant.

The Chapel (pictured) and the Somerset Room will be the main event spaces at Gainsborough Bath Spa.  Both rooms will seat up to 96 delegates theatre style and will be equipped with the latest audio visual capabilities. The Chapel also features direct access to an outdoor terrace which will accommodate a further 60 people. The entire hotel and its facilities have the potential for exclusive use.

Gainsborough Bath Spa will be a member of sales and marketing consortium, Leading Hotels of the World.
