Plans for a new 200-bedroom hotel and country club near Hazlehead Park in Aberdeen have been granted conditional planning approval by Aberdeen City Council.
The new hotel, on green-belt land, will also include a spa, a swimming pool, banqueting and conference facilities, restaurants and an equestrian centre. The five-star hotel will complement the existing recreational facilities within Hazlehead Park which include Hayfield Riding Centre.
Hazlehead Park covers around 180 hectares of land on the outskirts of Aberdeen. It is a heavily wooded area popular with sports enthusiasts, walkers, naturalists and picnickers.
The planned £40 million development is being promoted by local developers, Carlton Rock.
