Lancashire County Cricket Club has now formally lodged plans to build a new £12million, 150-bedroom Hilton Garden Inn at their Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester.
The six-storey Hilton Garden Inn Emirates Old Trafford will feature rooms with balconies and terraces overlooking the cricket pitch. The hotel will offer a range of dining options, a 24-hour fitness centre, a 24-hour business centre and free wi-fi throughout.
Hilton Garden Inn Emirates Old Trafford will replace the existing Old Trafford Lodge on the north-east edge of the stadium on the corner of Brian Statham Way and Talbot Road. A new glazed bridge will link the hotel with the neighbouring pavilion.
Hilton Garden Inn Emirates Old Trafford is the final piece in the jigsaw which has seen a total transformation of the Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground. Major new developments have included the Pavilion as well as The Point - the stadium’s eye-catching conference and banqueting facility - plus a new Player and Media Centre.
Construction of Hilton Garden Inn Emirates Old Trafford is expected to begin later this year, before the hotel welcomes its first guests in early 2017.
