A proposal by the Trades Union, Unite, to construct a 170-bedroom hotel with conference facility in Birmingham is set for approval. The hotel will be built on the Birmingham Science Park in Aston.
When complete the site will become Unite's national education, training and conference centre and will incorporate around 32,000 sq. ft. of conference space over two floors and will have the capacity to host up to 1000 delegates. The five-storey hotel will include a restaurant and bar.
The new hotel will be located between Woodcock Street and Jennens Road, a short walk from Birmingham city centre and main rail stations. Final approval is expected next week.
