Brighton i360 will be the world’s first vertical cable car and the world’s tallest moving observation tower when it opens in 2016. Brighton i360, designed by the London Eye architects, will also include conference and banqueting facilities.
Construction has just begun on the 162 metre high tower located on Brighton beach. When complete a glass viewing pod will slowly glide up 450 feet and delegates will experience a 360 degree panoramic view along the south coast of England.
It will be possible to hire the glass viewing pod for private events for up to 200 people. It will include a sky bar, the latest sound system and video screens.
At the base of the tower will be a beach building with meeting rooms for between 10 to 300 delegates with sea views and loads of natural daylight. The facility will be equipped with the latest AV technology. Meetings can be combined with a ride up the i360.
Brighton i360 will be available for banquets, private dining, drinks and canapés receptions. It is situated on the seafront close to a range of Brighton’s conference venues and hotels.
An 1866 toll booth has also been restored by the Brighton i360 team. The booth has private terrace with views over beach. It is available to hire in the evening for private dining for up to 16 guests and receptions for up to 58 guests.
