The Spa at The Midland in Manchester officially opens to the public on 13 June 2015. The Midland Hotel has invested £1.5million creating its city centre day spa and it replaces the hotel’s former health club.
The eight-treatment room spa on the Midland Hotel’s lower ground floor includes two private couples’ suites and is open to members of the public as well as hotel guests. In addition to treatment rooms, there is a wet zone that includes a salt-infused aromatherapy steam room, a relaxation pool, experience showers and a mud rasul chamber.
A separate ‘express spa’ space has been incorporated for the lunchtime guests or those with limited time. Services include a 25-minute express massage and a range of manicures, pedicures, eye care, tanning and wax treatments. It also includes separate relaxation pods and a dedicated spa café.
The new gym in the centre will be restricted to a maximum 200 members.
The 213-bedroom Midland Hotel overlooks St Peters Square at the front and Manchester Central Convention complex to the rear. It includes a selection of restaurants and bars as well as extensive conference and banqueting facilities.
