Hotel developer, Dominvs Group, is planning a new 150-bedroom in central Oxford along with a microbrewery, restaurant and deli. A new Hotel Indigo is thought to be the branding although this is still to be confirmed.
The site, on the corner of Paradise Street and St Thomas' Street, is the former Cooper Callas building, which has been unused for several years. This would be demolished with the hotel taking its place. Part of the site was formerly the Brewery Gatepub associated with the old Morrell's Brewery.
A planning application is expected in either September or October 2015.
Whilst Hotel Indigo is a brand from the IHG group, each Indigo Hotel has an individual character reflecting its location and local associations. This is reflected in the menus as well as artwork and photographs displayed on the walls.
