Stockport Council has granted permission to convert Bruntwood Hall, in Cheadle, Cheshire into a 22-bedroom boutique hotel on behalf of Oddfellows Hotels.
Bruntwood Hall lies in the centre of Bruntwood Park with over 100 acres of parkland including ponds, waterways and mature woodland.
The £3million plan involves restoring and converting the 19th century Bruntwood Hall manor house to create Oddfellows on the Park hotel – with 22 hotel bedrooms, a restaurant, cocktail bar and private dining rooms. There are also plans to incorporate a spa facility.
Bruntwood Hall has previously been a town hall for Cheadle and Gatley council, a racehorse stud farm and most recently the headquarters of a film company. Bruntwood Hall is located just off the A34 south of Manchester, five minutes from the M60 at junction 2 and with good access to Manchester Airport.
Oddfellows on the Park will join its sister hotel Oddfellows Chester, an 18 bedroom boutique hotel behind a 17th century façade in the centre of Chester.
