Carlson Rezidor has announced plans to build a new 176-bedroom Radisson Red hotel on the banks of the River Clyde near the SECC conference and exhibition centre in Glasgow. Radisson Red is the group's recently launched lifestyle brand.
The hotel will be the first Radisson Red hotel to be built in Europe. The ten-storey building will include a restaurant called Redeli and a roof bar with views across the city. It will include meeting space as well as a gym.
The Radisson Red Glasgow will also feature an exterior that will appear to change colour in reaction to natural light.
Radisson Red Glasgow is expected to open during 2017.
