easyHotels are planning two new hotels in the north west. The group has acquired a former office building with a ground floor restaurant at 47 Castle Street in the centre Liverpool, which it intends to convert into a 68-bedroom easyHotel.
The ground floor will remain a restaurant with the hotel accommodation on the four upper floors. The property is around a ten minute walk from Liverpool Lime Street Station and the hotel is expected to open spring 2016.
Meanwhile in Manchester, easyHotels have acquired Bradley House (pictured) in Manchester's Northern Quarter and plan to convert it into a 114-bedroom easyHotel. Bradley House, locally known as “The Flatiron” building because of its unique shape, dates back to the 1880's. It is located at the junction of Dale Street and Newton Street and is an approximate ten minute walk from both Manchester Piccadilly and Victoria stations.
The easyHotel brand was founded by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, who is best known for launching budget airline easyJet in 1995.
