The `topping out` ceremony has just been held on the new-look Belfast Waterfront, the central Belfast arts, entertainment and conference centre which is due to launch early summer 2016.
Construction work will now concentrate on creating the interior spaces and upgrading the existing building.
Extensions to Belfast Waterfront include the creation of two interconnecting halls; three additional meeting rooms and a new reception area which will integrate with the existing auditorium and studio spaces.
The two new halls will each subdivide into smaller spaces. The three meeting rooms will each accommodate up to 200 delegates and these will also subdivide - into 6 smaller units.
When it opens Belfast Waterfront will be Belfast's largest conference and exhibition facility, catering for up to 5,000 guests across 7,000 sq-mt of flexible event space with a main auditorium to seat up to 2000 people.
Belfast Waterfront extends along the River Lagan embankment in central Belfast, a five minute walk from Belfast Central Station and a five minute drive from Belfast City airport.
