Accor Hotels has acquired three famous and well respected hotel brands:  Fairmont, Raffles and Swissôtel.

The three between them have 155 hotels and resorts in 34 countries (of which 40 are under development), and more than 56,000 rooms (of which approximately 13,000 are under development).

The Accor Hotels portfolio now includes The Savoy in London as well as Raffles Singapore, Shanghai’s Fairmont Peace Hotel and the Plaza Hotel in New York.

In effect the deal creates worldwide leadership for the Accor Group in the luxury hotel market.

Kew Green Management has just entered into an agreement to manage the Holiday Inn Derby – Riverlights. This brings to 41 the number of Holiday Inn branded hotels they manage across Europe.

In total Kew Green Hotels now operate 55 hotels across the UK under five major brands: Holiday Inn Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn Express Hotels, Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts, Ibis Styles Hotels and Courtyard by Marriott Hotels.

From early 2016 Kew Green will be working with the Hilton brand family as well.

Kew Green Hotels also operate Richmond Hill Hotel, a four star property in south west London and The Grand Brighton on the seafront in Brighton.

Hilton Bournemouth hotel has just opened with 172 bedrooms; a new-build hotel alongside Hampton by Hilton Bournemouth which opened earlier this year.

Bedrooms and suites are luxurious and fully equipped with the latest entertainment technology. Local craftsmanship and design influences are visible around the hotel including the bedrooms.

LEVEL8IGHT the Sky Bar is situated on the 8th floor overlooking Bournemouth and the English Channel.

Modern British cuisine is served at Schpoons & Forx, fronted by restaurateur and TV personality Chef Matt Tebbutt.

Hilton Bournemouth has a dedicated conference, meeting and events floor with seven meeting rooms, a boardroom and a ballroom accommodating up to 360 guests. The meeting rooms are interconnecting and will accommodate up to 112 delegates; some with balconies and city views. Wired internet and wi-fi is available in the meeting rooms and public areas.

Hilton Bournemouth is located in Terrace Road, a five minute walk from the beach and the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC). The Terrace Mount Car Park is a short term public car park situated below the Hampton by Hilton Bournemouth and is available for residents.

The former Cambridge City Hotel has just rebranded and opened as Hilton Cambridge City Centre with 198 bedrooms. It will be the group's second site in Cambridge, joining the Doubletree by Hilton Cambridge in Mill Lane.

Hilton Cambridge City Centre hotel is located in the heart of Cambridge and within walking distance of the University Colleges.

Bedroom are modern, air-conditioned and include a newly refurbished bathroom as well as the latest in-room technology. The Book Room is the restaurant, bar and lounge serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week.

Leisure facilities include a fully equipped fitness room.

Hilton Cambridge City Centre hotel has seven flexible, self-contained,  naturally-lit meeting and events rooms with wi-fi and state-of-the-art audio/visual equipment. The Isaac Newton Suite is the largest seating up to 200 delegates theatre style.

Hilton Cambridge City Centre is located in Downing Street in the heart of Cambridge. It is a short walk to Cambridge station. The hotel does not have its own car park although a valet parking service is offered.

The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) and Eden Hotel Collection have acquired their second hotel.

Both organisations already own the 45-bedroom four-star Arden Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon. They have now purchased the Grade II-listed Caterham House Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon; previously a privately owned ten bedroom hotel with a number of reception rooms.

Caterham House Hotel is a short walk from the Royal  Shakespeare Theatre in the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon.
