The Belmond Collection of luxury hotels is adding a second London hotel to its international portfolio. Last summer The Cadogan, a 64-bedroom hotel in Sloane Street, Chelsea became their first UK property. Durley House, an all-suite, private residence-style property also in Sloane Street, has now joined its near neighbour.
Both properties are owned by Cadogan Estates and both are currently closed for refurbishment. The Belmond Cadogan is undergoing a £28million investment which will see a revamp of all the public areas. It is scheduled to reopen summer 2016 with 54 larger rooms and suites.
The 15-suite Durley House is also scheduled to open in summer 2016 following its refurbishment. The newly revamped long-stay suites will be serviced by Belmond Cadogan Hotel and guests will have full use of the hotel's facilities.
Belmond owns and operates four other businesses within the UK: the Belmond British Pullman, Belmond Northern Belle and Belmond Royal Scotsman luxury rail experiences, as well as Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, a 32-bedroom hotel and two-Michelin star restaurant in Oxfordshire.
