The Beardmore Hotel and Conference Centre in Clydebank has announced that the complex will be rebranding as the Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel in January 2016.

The Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel will be at the heart of the Golden Jubilee Foundation, the new brand name for a group of facilities which also includes the Golden Jubilee National Hospital, the Golden Jubilee Research Institute and Golden Jubilee Innovation Centre.

The Beardmore Hotel and Conference Centre is situated on the banks of the River Clyde, near Glasgow. It is particularly noted for hosting healthcare meetings which benefit from the hotel’s proximity to the Golden Jubilee National Hospital and the Beardmore Centre for Health Science.

Event management company, Blank Canvas, has re-opened event space at Nine Adam Street on the Strand in London. The space had been closed for the last two years.

Nine Adam Street is a modern, contemporary, blank canvas venue; a vault-like venue featuring two arches and exposed brickwork. The space comprises two floors accommodating up to 250 people standing or 70 delegates for a theatre style meeting.

Plans to build a new 223-bedroom Radisson Blu hotel within the boundary at Birmingham International Airport have been recommended for approval by local planners. The hotel would include conference and restaurant facilities.

If final approval is granted, the Birmingham Airport scheme will be the 28th Radisson Blu hotel in the UK and will join the 39-storey, 211 bedroom Radisson Blu Hotel in the centre of Birmingham.

Millennium & Copthorne Hotels has acquired Hard Days Night Hotel, the Beatles-themed hotel in the centre of Liverpool.
