Exhibition Centre Liverpool has just opened alongside the Echo Arena and the BT Convention Centre on Liverpool's waterfront.

With 87,188 sq. ft. of event space Exhibition Centre Liverpool is designed to host trade and consumer exhibitions, conferences, banquets, concerts and sporting events.

Exhibition Centre Liverpool features three principal halls and a glazed atrium with waterfront views as well as cafes and meeting rooms. External areas include a riverside balcony overlooking the River Mersey as well as an outside exhibition space for events.

Best Western Plus Pinewood on Wilmslow starts the final phase of its upgrading programme in October 2015. Over the following six months the hotel will add a new floor of 19 luxury bedrooms as well as revamping the existing hotel facade.

The new bedrooms will include a wet room or walk-in shower and Juliet balconies. The hotel will be operating as normal throughout the extension works.

Last year Best Western Plus Pinewood on Wilmslow completed a £1.5million investment, which added 12 bedrooms taking its total to 70 bedrooms. The lounge space on the ground floor was increased and a new 85-seat ground floor restaurant - One Eighty - opened.

Leisure facilities at the hotel include a gym, swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and spa, squash courts, a tennis court and a running track.
