Manchester Cathedral already has excellent event facilities. The Nave of the cathedral will accommodate over 1100 delegates for a theatre-style presentations or 940 guests for a dinner. It is currently undergoing a major renovation and will open in 2016 as a 50-seat restaurant with seven bedrooms - five in the main house and two in the gatehouse nearby. There will also be a private dining room for 12 guests.
Michelin-starred chef Mark Birchall will head the kitchen team. He was most recently executive chef, with Simon Rogan, at the Michelin two-starred L’Enclume in Cartmel, Cumbria. His menus will showcase his own style of modern British cuisine developed over the last 15 years.
Future plans for Moor Hall include the transformation of additional buildings - lodge, barns and stables - within the grounds for extensive further dining and kitchen operations, as well as developing the gardens, orchards and lake.

The Bays features two adjoining spaces. Bay 1 is a 200-capacity pre-function room with an open plan kitchen and a bar with access through double doors to Bay 2. Bay 2 will accommodate up to 200 guests for a dinner or 310 delegates for a theatre-style presentation. It is fully equipped with the latest AV equipment including screens, projectors and a PA system.
The next phase of the expansion will see the basement events space completed in late 2016 and the addition of 400 new bedrooms completed by 2017.
Victoria Warehouse is a warehouse built in the Victorian era alongside the Manchester Ship Canal. It has been converted in recent years into an events venue and hotel with 40 bedrooms - whilst still retaining the industrial features of the original warehouse.
