Sands Venue Resortwill have 96 bedrooms and is part of a multi-million-pound investment to convert and extend The Sands Entertainment Venue near Blackpool Tower.
Sands Venue Resort will feature penthouse suites with views over the promenade and Irish Sea.
Sands Venue Resort will be built on the site of the former Palatine Hotel which together with other buildings on the site, including Central Station, were demolished in the 1970s during a period of large-scale redevelopment in Blackpool.
The project is the brainchild of businessman Peter Swann, who owns the company that operates Sands Entertainment Venue and who is also chairman of League One football club - Scunthorpe United FC.
Sands Venue Resort is expected to open summer 2019.

The nine-storey Hilton Garden Inn Peterborough will include a restaurant, meeting rooms, a fitness centre and a rooftop bar with cathedral views.
It will be located on Town Bridge. Hilton Garden Inn Peterborough will form part of the £120million Fletton Quays development, Peterborough’s city centre riverside regeneration project.
The site will also include residential units, retail outlets, restaurants and leisure facilities.
Hilton Garden Inn Peterborough is expected to open in 2019.

The £18million plan, first revealed in February, was approved with no objections. The council stipulated that work must start no later than October 2020.
The five-storey v-shaped building will be based in London Road, to the left of the ‘The Celtic Way’ and will replace the current ticket office and club superstore.
The hotel will include up to 200 bedrooms.The hotel will also include a ground floor restaurant and bar with the shop, ticket office and museum entrance on the floor above.
Parking would be limited to guests staying at the hotel on matchdays.
