The George Wright is a new boutique hotel which has just opened in Rotherham

The George Wright is housed in a Grade II-listed building behind the High Street on Snail Hill in Rotherham. The building had remained empty since sustaining fire damage in the 1990s.

The George Wright is now a seven- bedroom boutique hotel.

The George Wright has a gallery restaurant with an open kitchen offering fine-dining for up to 80 people plus a gin and whisky bar.

The George Wright also features a meetings and events room that can accommodate up to 150 people.

The renovation has reinstated a lot of the original brickwork, natural stone and timber. The original fireplaces have also been left exposed to help keep the ‘feel’ of the building.
