The Eden Project has unveiled plans for a new £6million 115-bedroom hotel for visitors to its site at Bodelva near St Austell in Cornwall.

The hotel would be a timber-clad structure, similar in style to Eden’s Foundation Building which sits outside of the main visitor area. It would be designed to blend into the countryside with the highest standards of accessibility, energy-efficiency and sustainability.

The proposed hotel is intended to support Eden’s activities including hosting future conference events and the annual Eden Sessions series of concerts.

Plans have been submitted to Cornwall Council.

Hampton by Hilton Bournemouth is a new 120-bedroom hotel scheduled to open early summer 2015. Hampton by Hilton Bournemouth is located close to the beach promenade and short walk from the Bournemouth International Centre.

Bedrooms will be bright and modern, air-conditioned with either a sea or city view. They will be equipped with a queen-sized bed, a large work desk, an LCD television, a laptop safe, an alarm clock/radio, USB charge points and complimentary wi-fi. All Hampton Hotels include a complimentary hot breakfast. Snacks will available from the hotel reception 24 hours a day. There will also be a 24 hour fitness centre with cardio, resistance and weights equipment. There will be no meeting facilities.

Hampton by Hilton Bournemouth is a new-build hotel on the site of a former car park in Upper Terrace Road. It will share the site with a new Hilton Hotel which is expected to open at the end of 2015 and a new residential apartment block.

Starboard Hotels are on the acquisition trail. The have recently acquired the Best Western Carlton Hotel located on Blackpool's North Shore with plans to gradually refurbish the 58-bedroom hotel. The group has just completed acquisition of its first Scottish hotel, the 71-bedroom Holiday Inn Express Greenock near Glasgow.

Starboard Hotels, a franchisee of the InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) and the Wyndham Hotel Group, also operate the Days Inn Wetherby and the Holiday Inn Express Burnley.

Regus Global workspace provider has opened a new facility in The News Building at London Bridge. Regus office and meetings space is located on the third floor of the building. It includes a dedicated, drop-in business lounge, private offices, meeting rooms, virtual offices and administrative support.

Construction work is about to start on a new 6,000-capacity stadium in Wesham, Lancashire.

The stadium is for AFC Fylde and will feature a 2,000 all-seater main stand with a bar, restaurant, nursery, executive boxes, offices and event space. The stadium is part of a wider development at Mill Farm Sports Village which will also include an all-weather pitch, a floodlit football pitch and a 63-bedroom hotel.

The development is expected to last twelve months with an opening scheduled for March 2016.

Mill Farm Sports Village is located on the Fylde between Preston and Blackpool, less than one mile off the M55 at junction3.
