Amazing Venues have totally refurbished No Man's Fort, one of four forts in the sea off Portsmouth built in the nineteenth century as a defence for shipping. The group will be launching No Man's Fort as a corporate events venue in spring 2015.
No Man’s Fort is three times the size of Spitbank Fort, its sister fort also operated by Amazing Venues. No Man's Fort will have 22 double bedrooms, all with sea-views, plus five meeting rooms including an atrium and a lighthouse. The fort will accommodate up to 200 delegates in total. It is equipped with the latest AV technology with complimentary wi-fi throughout. There is also a spa and a sun lounge.
No Man's Fort is suitable for corporate exclusive use, gourmet dining, meetings, team building activities and themed events. Team-building activities include cocktail making, fire pit experience, fishing, kayaking, laser wars in the fort's basement level, RIB rides, snooker and pool, treasure hunts and wine tasting.
Amazing Venues will be opening their new departure lounge on the mainland in Gunwharf Quays, in March 2015. It is located a short walk from Portsmouth Station. Delegates are then transported to the forts by catamaran.

Motel One Manchester currently under construction opposite Piccadilly station in the city centre has just been 'topped-out' by the construction team bringing its opening a step closer. Summer 2015 is the scheduled opening date.
With 330 bedrooms, Motel One Manchester will be 14-storeys high fronting London Road, and seven storeys high on the Whitworth Street side. The ground floor will include hotel reception, a restaurant and a bar.Motel One is a low budget designer hotel brand. Currently the group operates over 50 hotels throughout Europe. The hotel brand includes a residents’ lounge and bar. Buffet breakfast is available in the morning with hot and cold snacks available during the day. Wi-fi is free throughout the hotel.
Motel One has two hotels in Edinburgh and has just opened Motel One London Tower Hill, its first property in London.

Building work has started on the redevelopment of Manchester’s Freemason's Hall located on the edge of Spinningfields. The project will revamp and transform the building into a modern conference venue whilst still maintaining its architectural grandeur including its marble pillars, antique details and stained glass windows. Manchester Hall will be the new name of the Grade-II listed building.
Manchester Hall will feature fifteen event spaces for between six and 200 delegates. It will also include two restaurants plus a bar and roof terrace garden. Some overnight accommodation will be available for guests using the venue.
Manchester Hall is set to open towards the end of 2015.

The University of Westminster's Regent Street Cinema is expected to reopen in April 2015 following its £6million refurbishment. Dubbed the "birthplace of cinema" the Regent Street Cinema, housed within the University's Grade-II listed building, was used by the Lumiere brothers to perform their first moving picture show in the UK in 1896 but has since fallen into disrepair.
When it reopens, the main auditorium will be available to seat up to 200 delegates and will be available to hire for events such a private screenings, conferences and product launches.

Dominvs Group will be opening a range of new hotels starting this summer following an agreement with building contractor McAleer & Rushe.
The first two to open summer 2015 are both in Aberdeen, adjacent to Aberdeen Airport. Holiday Inn Express Aberdeen will have 193 bedrooms. Crowne Plaza Aberdeen Airport will feature 165 bedrooms, meeting rooms plus conference and banqueting suites.
Next year a new 306-bedroom Holiday Inn (pictured) is scheduled to open in Aytoun Street close to Piccadilly Gardens and Piccadilly station in the centre of Manchester.
These will be followed by a conversion of the Grade II-listed Tower Bridge Magistrates Court in Tooley Street, London - 200m from Tower Bridge - into a 200-bedroom four-star hotel with restaurant and conference facilities.
Dominvs already operate three hotels in the UK including the Holiday Inn Dumfries, Holiday Inn Darlington North, just off the A1 at junction 59 and Mercure Sheffield Parkway just off the M1 at junction 33.
