Everton Football Club is investigating the possibility of building a new stadium on Walton Hall Park, close to the club's current ground at Goodison Park in Liverpool. The project would also include housing, new and upgraded leisure facilities as well as food, commercial and some retail units. A planning application could be made within 12 months.

This work is the first part of a larger £260million development to transform the area around Anfield into a mixed-use leisure hub which will include a 100-bedroom hotel, a new business hub as well as a new primary school, health centre, and 250 new homes.
