Work continues restoring and redeveloping Grantley Hall into a five-star hotel. 

Grantley Hall is a Grade II-listed country house near Ripon in North Yorkshire.

When complete Grantley Hall hotel will have 47 bedrooms, four restaurants include a signature restaurant and all-day brasserie dining experiences. There will also be three bars and a private members club.

Leisure facilities will include a spa and wellness centre, a gym and an elite performance centre.

Plans have been approved to create purpose-designed events space alongside the hall's Japanese Garden, the first one planted in Britain back in 1910.

The Grantley Hall hotel project is now scheduled for completion during 2019.

Grantley Hall was built in the mid-18th century as a private residence. More recently the building was used as a convalescent home during World War II. After the war, the property became an adult education residential centre.

Grantley Hall is situated near Grantley, around five miles west of Ripon, on the banks of the River Skell.

Accor Hotels has opened a new Ibis Styles hotel in London’s Kensington. 

The property was previously a Best Western hotel. It has since undergone a total refurbishment before re-opening with 85 bedrooms as the Ibis Styles London Gloucester Road hotel.

Ibis Styles London Gloucester Road has a mix of single, double and twin-bedded rooms.

All bedrooms include a desk, television and tea/coffee making facilities plus free wi-fi. Breakfast is served and is inclusive in the room rate. The hotel has a bar.

Ibis Styles London Gloucester Road has one 10 sq-mt meeting room seating up to 8 delegates.

Building contractors begin a two-year construction programme in mid-January on the next phase of the £750million Circle Square development in Manchester. 

This phase includes an 18-storey building with a 1,100-space car park from ground to the 11thfloor plus a 150-bedroom hotel between the 12thand 17thfloors.

There is also commercial, retail and restaurant space planned at ground floor and mezzanine level.

Completion is scheduled for January 2020.

Circle Square is a £750million redevelopment of the former BBC site on Oxford Road, in the centre of Manchester. The old BBC buildings were demolished once the corporation had moved its operations across to Salford Quays


IHG are planning a spring 2018 opening for the new Hotel Indigo London – One Leicester Square.  

The hotel will have 95 bedrooms and it is taking bookings from April 2018 onwards.

Hotel Indigo London – One Leicester Square will be fourth Hotel Indigo to open in London.

Expect boutique style bedrooms with dramatic touches as befits its locationin London’s theatreland.

Bedroom features will include the wooden floorboards of the stage, back-stage lighting with an ‘urban finish’ in the bathrooms.

All bedrooms will be fully air conditioned, sound proofed and furnished with a 40” LCD TV, an  invigorating shower, luxurious toiletries and complimentary wi-fi throughout.

Hotel Indigo London – One Leicester Square will feature a rooftop pan-Asian restaurant and bar with views across to the London Eye and the Houses of Parliaments. The restaurant will be inspired by 1920s Shanghai with Oriental cocktails and sharing plates.

Hotel Indigo London – One Leicester Square will also include a gym plus meeting and events spaces.

April 2018 is the planned opening date for the new AC Hotel by Marriott Belfast. It will be the first AC Hotel to open in Northern Ireland. 

AC Hotel by Marriott Belfast will have 188 bedrooms making it one of the largest hotels in the city.

The rooms will be fully furnished with the latest in-room facilities including a plasma TV, video on demand, high-speed Internet and a spacious work desk plus a minibar.

AC Hotel by Marriott Belfast will feature a Jean-Christophe Novelli bespoke brasserie restaurant.

Other facilities will include a gym, library and an AC Lounge.
